This means Let's build a Glass Blowing Studio! and have it open to the outdoors.
Let's build a Clay Studio with an outdoor kiln.
And an area for Welding!
And a place in our community for outdoor performance art, theater, dance!
And let's build them as energy efficient as possible - with "green" roofs, and using recycled materials
when possible. Let's learn and teach about land stewardship.

Using Recycled Glass at Maho Bay |
|
Our inspiration comes from many places:
- The DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park outside of Boston
with its unbelievable sculpture gardens, classrooms and art gallery.
- The art program at Maho Bay Resorts in the Virgin Islands whose glass blowing studio turns out AMAZING bowls, vases, paperweights, all
out of recycled glass from their restaurant! They also produce some of the most interesting and fashionable tie dye clothing using
"recycled" fabric.
- The wonderful outdoor spaces and small studios at Pilchuck Glass School
with the backdrop of open space to provide inspiration and places to stay for
visiting artists.
- The
Cedar River Education Center in North Bend, WA for its programs that provide environmental education and stewardship
of the land.
